Atheel was founded in Riyadh in 2020 with a clear thesis: transform the Kingdom’s abundant renewable resources — starting with palm-tree waste — into high-quality industrial materials. Our first product: a presswood pallet molded in a single piece, with no nails, no fumigation, and immediate export readiness.

A published study (MDPI) estimates Saudi Arabia generates some 200,000 tonnes of palm-tree waste. Atheel turns this agricultural by-product into industrial products that compete with conventional ones — less waste, more local content, and a new industry aligned with Vision 2030.

A clear import-substitution opportunity
Per 2023 trade data, Saudi Arabia imported roughly $21 million of wood pallets and load boards (HS 4415), with the pallet market forecast to grow at a 5.09% CAGR. Atheel manufactures the alternative locally.
